Dreamcast->PC cable necessary?

Is there any greater point of buying such a cable? Just asking. What is it meant for? :-)

Mainly coder's. I don't belive it is particularly easy to get one right now anyway.

I know I can get one .. :-) So for an ordinary gamer (DC, emulators) there's no greater point but to backup the savegames?

and save using cd-r's but for the average Emu user, I wouldn't get one.
