An Introduction

Post by phaded »

Greetings all. I'm hoping this is a proper forum for posting this in.

I just wanted to give everyone a little background on me, since I'm jumping on the DCEmu bandwagon pretty late.

I have experience in several programming languages:

Python
Java
C (Lot's of QuakeC)
C++
Fortran (Hahah)
and Perl

I've been an active developer in the Ubuntu and Damn Small Linux projects.

I was previously a developer for the Gimp, an open source image editing program.

I worked on a few Mods for Quake2 and Half-Life.

More noteably, I helped with RocketCrowbar for Half-Life.

I'm also a graphic artist. :) Once I get my laptop back from repairs, I'm willing to help anyone with 2D/3D work, as well as map dev.

That's about it. I hope I can add to this great community. :)

Hey there. If you're interested in helping out, we'd love to see new developers around here. We're really hurting for them in the DCRPG project. The Dreamcast is a great machine, I'm sure you'd love messing with programming on it. :)
It's thinking...

Awesome. Welcome.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to code a SNES emulator for Dreamcast in less than 10 days. This post won't self-destruct; instead we'll just wait for darc to break the forums.

QuakeC huh, go to QuakeDev immediately.
"I'm convinced RenegadeC is in fact not a human, but rather an experimental IRC/QuakeC bot who has the ability to randomly formulate mods and code them, programmed to have a distinct Canadian personality as well."
