Seems EA is going to get us to PAY them 20 bucks USD to advertise to us.
Hey guess what? If you're an idiot that can't stand to wait for even a shred of Madden 07, you can grab a pay-per-view preview of the game starting August 4th. That's right, a behind the scenes marketing video -- the kind that most companies freely distribute on the Internet -- will be available on your TV for a mere 20 dollars American. EA and ESPN should be reviled for this, and rightfully so. The sad thing is that this will make money for EA. There are people stupid enough to pay EA to advertise a product they were already planning on buying.
Do they just know that there are some really dumb people out there or what?

Well, this post was to ask about a source, but he edited it in there before I got the post off, so I'll just say that while it seems dumb, if it works it could be genious.

What? Er... I loved the mario party games. Played all for N64, but only play 6 for the GC. All were terrific fun for me. You may need some friends to play with though?
Yea, I too enjoy the MP series....quite a fun game to add drinks to, or just have a go without.
Anyways, offering up this advertisement to the public for $20 is ludicrous, but they will make money out there because there are so many stupid people living in this country =\
penor: hay gusy how do i make ubuntu look cool like vista
EA wouldn't be doing it if they didn't think they would turn a nice profit from it. I can totally see at least a few thousand people checking this video out, especially considering how big the madden fan base is.
It doesn't make sense from our POV's since there will be videos and such on the game on gaming websites and I bet a demo will be on the marketplace like with Madden 06, but for die hard Madden fans they'll go out of their way to watch the PPV to catch an early glimpse of their favourite videogame franchise, and why not?
And soon to be one of my most favourite quotes:
The sad thing is that this will make money for EA.
Holy crap! It's like they're a company or something!!
the last ea game I bought was a james bond one for ps2.
imo, much like ninty had with the nes back in the day, ea also has quite a monopoly going on what with buying just about every publisher and ensuring that they're the only ones releasing sports titles with major league, etc teams in them.

Last ones I wouldve got were TS:Future Perfect and Burnout. Considerring they were already established games anyway and EA had nothing to do with their awesomeness, I'd say they don't count.
