I'd tried changing to FAME too, but it didn't work.Only when i enabled the sound that things began to work normallyJuan wrote:C68K breaks when sound is disabled.alb3530 wrote: I've noticed a bug that happens sometimes. You try to load a ROM, and after the ROM is loaded, what you get is a static image of a game that was already loaded.See this example: http://www.yourfreespace.net/users/alb3 ... lusBug.3gp

here i had already played Revenge of Shinobi. Then i tried to load another ROM (Sonic 3) and what came next is a frozen image of Revenge of Shinobi. It was happening only in SW mode with sound disabled.

It took me a little while to figure out why I couldn't get my roms to work on gpwt but now that problem is no longer so. And to think that the answer was right in front of me, go figure lol. I am now able to play all of the roms that would play on the preview 3 version on the latest build and am highly impressed with both BA's and WT's contributions to this emu and can't wait to see the finished product.

lol. Heh. All I have to complain about is the weird sound popping issue and the fact that shining force doesn't work. Seriously though, guys, you should feel pround knowing that this emulator is faster and more accurate than the PSP Sega emulators, or even Sega's own Smash Pack.JohnnyB wrote:Yeah when can we see the finished product? I'll second that. It's far above Sega's emulator.jessman wrote:lol. Heh. All I have to complain about is the weird sound popping issue and the fact that shining force doesn't work. - Menu system In Progress
- A decent theme for the menu In Progress
- Every part of the emulator is well tested, and works according to BA's own standards In Progress
- All of the fixable graphics glitches fixed - In Progress
- Working support for GameGenie codes (the code is there, but needs to be hooked up to the menu) N/A
- Working ROM database, including settings N/A

Sound actually still skips a little on some games, although it's not really noticable, probably. I can probably hear it because I have really sensitive hearing. I think I observed it in Comix Zone.DcSteve wrote:From BA's list of things to do left since current release

The analog thumb pad could be used as Mode button, and as Soft Reset too(maybe in combination with some other button).
Some other things would be nice to have are the possibility to go to menu and then return to the game, and disc swap support.
Another good thing is if the emulator could allow to toggle between video modes(maybe CPUs too) without having to reload the ROM and reseting the game.Don't know if it's possible to implement, though

Erm... is the Mode button actually readable? I thought it was only used by the controller itself...
edit: okay, it's readable... anyone know of any games that actually use it?

I was waiting for a bit to test it, and finally did it.
It's really great, there is really a serious hope for a perfect genesis emulator on DC now.
Almost all of the roms i tested (943) work, and work great!!
One thing though... MUSHA doesnt work please fix it for the next release.
Great work so far!
