I was getting worried that NesterDC:SE might be your last DC homebrew effort, but I'm glad to hear you're going to stick around. Looking forward to the new releases.

As long as you add support for rom-hacks, and add lightgun support, I'll be happy as can be...just want to be able to play Tecmo Bowl with updated rosters and Duck Hunt...Strapping Scherzo wrote:Hey, thanks to all who chose NesterDC SE as their favorite for last year. Before this topic gets spammed with a billion of NesterDC SE posts, let us handle it different this time:
Btw, DCEvolution could host a mirror to your NES Master Library if you like. We could also make the entire archive available as a full download, if that's okay with you and if it's of interest to anyone.
Also you definitly need to show us a way (tutorial or quick guide) to modify the file listing so everyone could set it up to his likeings and share their configs/themes with each other.
Also, what type of game would you like to create ? A shump ? or something completly different ?
Now everybody (me included) fills the blank spaces with what they think NDC SE misses and spams every topic on these forums with it.Scherzo,
don't forget ______ (feature) and _______ (feature) in your next NesterDC SE update because I want to play ________ (NES game) !
Thx.

Great to hear you're back working on NesterDC! ...and thank you that you've released it back in the days I really can imagine how you came to a point where you got tired of implementing one feature after another from your looong list.Strapping Scherzo wrote: Hey, thanks to all who chose NesterDC SE as their favorite for last year. Actually, I would be nice to free up some bandwidth on my server. What I'll do is package up the entire database and throw it your way.Christuserloeser wrote:Btw, DCEvolution could host a mirror to your NES Master Library if you like.
That's definitely OK with me and I think some people would rather download the entire database as a whole instead of pieces. Besides, the NesterDC CD builder is designed to path a URL or a local path to the master DB.Christuserloeser wrote:We could also make the entire archive available as a full download, if that's okay with you and if it's of interest to anyone.
I might do that, yeah.Christuserloeser wrote:Also you definitly need to show us a way (tutorial or quick guide) to modify the file listing so everyone could set it up to his likeings and share their configs/themes with each other.
Well, I have one possible project in the works that would be a collaboration with another well known DC scene contributor. It's way too early to reveal anything about it right now.Christuserloeser wrote:Also, what type of game would you like to create ? A shump ? or something completly different ?
As for solo works, I have this burning desire to make a dodgeball game. One of my favorite games for NES is Super Dodgeball. There aren't too many dodgeball video games (at least not released in the US). I think it would be really cool to make one with super moves, of course, but also with RPG elements.

Heck, I almost completly forgot about this topic!
Once you got a demo I'll definitly play it
Sounds great! And I really like Dodgeball games too (there's one for MegaDrive/Genesis, IIRC the one for MasterSystem sadly doesn't work with SMSplusDC )Strapping Scherzo wrote:As for solo works, I have this burning desire to make a dodgeball game.
