Wtf is up with Xbox 360 mip mapping?

Screen resolution may play a part in this... you can only do so much with a standard TV resolution. I realize that it since games come in HD, they should have that fixed, but IMO there isn't that much market penetration yet for HD gaming, therefore developers aren't really trying to fix it ASAP.
