I have about $500 to blow

What should I buy? I was going to upgrage my computer but I'll just wait until Socket M2 is out. There isn't anything else I can think of that I want so I need suggestions.

Things I don't want are:
Xbox 360
Nintendo DS

Depends on what you're into... i'll have $300 by the end of the month... prob get a DS and an M3.... and might invest the rest into web hosting...

By a cheap imac on ebay to play old games on, can get them in the $60 range shipped.

How good of a video card does your PC have, can't go wrong upgrading your video card?

Get a good brewing kit.

You can get a really nice one for ~600 bucks.

9800 Pro flashed to XT. It's not worth it to get another AGP card when I'll need to get a PCI-E card in 3 months.

The iMac thing won't really work becuase I am not really a fan of older games and I don't have space for yet another computer in here.

Thats not a very smart way to handle your finances

Have any investments? Perhaps you could buy a few shares into a developer your interested in.

I have no suggestions. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those topics where someone suggests something, and you turn around and say you either already have it or have a good reason why you don't need it.

It could be, but I'm sure someone will mention something I have interest in and I'll probably just buy it. I'm considering a PSP.

buy a guitar and actually learn how to play it? If you play guitar already, buy car audio, if not car audio buy an oz of gold bar/bullion and hold on to it for a year and see how much gold has gone up. It might go down so I guess its sort of a crap shoot.

See, I hate doing that. When I have money I like seeing something physical or I'm not satisfied. I work at a pizzaria three nights a week so I get enough ordering out

The PSP seems to be the only option right now so I think I'm going to go with that.

About the guitar thing, I actually have a guitar and I used to be able to play a bit but I'm not very creative and I hated playing other people's music so I just gave up.

I already have a decent speaker set and headunit in my car so I really don't want to drop any money into that, and a subwoofer is totally out of the question.

I have a 30GB Creative Nomad Zen Xtra and a Thinkpad 600e laptop already

Anyone think the PSP is worth the money for homebrew?

you can always donate it to a worthy charity. If you have THAT much dispensable income, why not? It IS tax deductible.
