check the fan and make sure it is running. If the fan isnt plugged in or working right, the DC will reset itself.

Did the Dreamcast completly reboot, or did the Dreamcast appear to just drop the BIOS menu out of no where?

It went straight to the Bios. I'll check the fan, but I'm sure it is running all the time.

Thats weird, its probably either a disk scratch problem or the fan

What about other games?

I'll try something else, but this sucks, I mainly bought the DC for this game :(. (and homebrew stuff)

Well, it did it again, it does a restart then goes to where that Dreamcast intro thing does, with the music. SO its a complete reboot.

The fan is working, what else could it be? :(

It did it with skies of arcadia and Resident Evil, the discs are fine.

It could be the common reset problem: http://www.consolevision.com/members/fa ... tfix.shtml

Personally, I've always found this "bending pins" lark a bit of a crock. I think the physical act of taking off the power board and then replacing it should be sufficient to do the job.

If you take off your power board, and give the pins a bit of a wipe, maybe put the board on and off the pins a few times, this should be more than enough to clean off any gunk that has become oxidised to the connections at this area. The spring loaded contacts on the power board should take care of ensuring proper contact if the pins are clean.

Of course, I could be totally wrong, and it mightn't work in all situations, but whenever my DC has resetted (and it has done so two or three times over the last year), it's been stubborn and continued resetting until I opened her up, and gave her pins a clean. She then behaved for another 3 or 4 months before doing it again.
