DreamSnes and Mac, Any tips on how to get working

Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

DreamSnes and Mac, Any tips on how to get working

Post by scrod21 »

I attempted last nigth to use mac dreamtool and dreamsnes.. I followed the instructions for dreamtool
1. select emulator
2. (Done by comptuer) creates a DATA folder in home directory
3. Drag roms into data folder (NO subfolder from what I gather in the dreamsnes read me)
4. Click on create ISO
5. Created ISO (with no DUmmy File)
6. Burn fixed.Iso (Open session)
7. Burn header.iso (CLosed session)
Pop in dreamcast.. and it wont play.

Is there a good way to burn dreamSnes on the mac.. or do I have to try and get some burning software etc on VPC which will be a royal pain because I cant get it to drop files to my mac folders.. only to the Virtual hard drive.. (that's a seperate issue)

I did a quick search and nothing came up witha good method of getting it to work on mac.
I have sucessfully made about 10 CD"s for NES, 5 CD"s for Sega, and working on Atari.... So I' dont believe that I'm stoopid.. but this is frustrating me.

hmm,as long as you follow the directions in MDT to a tee,it should work fine. you said in your other post that you are using plain files? I would recommend that you download the dreamsnes .sbi from sbiffy.com and use sbi-2-selfboot to make it into a single emulator cd.

or you can just get all sbi's and put nintendo, sega and snes all together on 1 disc (& atari).

What version of Toast are you using? Toast 6.0 needs to be updated to at least 6.0.5
