Whats more important than celebrating the end of WW2?

Post by Hawq »

Apparantly sorting out jobs for third rate mp's is
WORLD leaders lined up in Moscow?s Red Square yesterday to mark the momentous 60th anniversary of Victory in Europe.

American, French, Italian and German leaders paid homage to the 27 million Russians who died in the flames of Nazi aggression.

Japan, China, India, Spain, the United Nations and even the European Union were there to mark the event.

And where was Britain? In the BACK ROW ? represented by scowling Deputy PM JOHN PRESCOTT.

Tony Blair, who would have been centre stage alongside Presidents George Bush and Vladimir Putin, was back home salvaging his Cabinet shambles.

A Downing Street spokesman said: ?He is in the middle of forming a government. It is a regrettable coincidence of timing.?

But it was more than regrettable. This was a snub of international proportions.

The PM?s absence, and Two Jags? fourth-row spot, stood out like a rebuke to the sacrifice and heroism which saved the world from Hitler.

Mr Blair could not even claim he was dealing with major offices of state.

These were filled on Friday in a chaotic shake-up as the PM had THREE goes at picking a new front bench team.

Yesterday, instead of representing his country in Moscow, he was fiddling with second and third rank appointments which could have been done on Saturday.
source so thats more important than honouring all those who died for our freedom is it?
