Game Sequels....
Which old skool game would you like to see a sequel to?
I have many:
Super Punchout
EarthBound
PilotWings
More Gex sequels (if you don't remember this game, shame on you)
Kid Icarus
And more recently, I picked up Eternal Darkness for my cube. I would like to see a sequel to that but since I have heard that Nintendo and Silocin Knights have spilt and that the game didn't do well in sales, I won't be holding my breath.....

A 2D Gex sequel (GBA, perhaps?) would be nice...the 3D ones have pretty much filled their niche, and there's no need for any more.
Space Harrier. It's a real shame that Planet Harriers never made it to the home market...a DC release that was never re-slated for another system.
And the big one for me: Golden Axe Warrior.
This was a Zelda "clone" that came out in the last days of the MasterSystem. It took the Zelda 1 formula, expanded it, and just did everything right...plus, added a lot of depth to the Golden Axe universe. It would be an ideal GBA or DS game.
Most of the other games I really care for either already have sequels, or shouldn't have sequels (like Rez...a Rez 2 would be an abomination). It was sad to see that Headhunter's sequel was such a sham.

UT2k4
not to say i applaud yearly updates and milking, or that ut2k4 isnt complete enough
i just cant wait to see some more levels and stuff, i just love it
Red Alert 2, but i know RA3 is already in devellopment
TS2, same thing, cant wait for march when TSFP comes out
basicly i just havent been around long enough to name any nes or the likes, GBA and cube were my first consoles, and i did only some minor pc gaming before that

The 3d sequels blew, imo. And the panasonic 3do version was better than the sega Saturn one.......
Eternal Darkness was okay, it had its moments, but I would much rather be playing either Resident Evil4 or the Silent Hill franchise....
I knew that the snes version of Earthbound was originally on famicom, but didn't know there were more!!!
Why hasn't Nintendo brought the Mother sequels over here to the states?!

Why? The story is pretty much complete. I really don't see what else they can do. Unless they do a "prequel" kind of thing where you play out the adventure just prior to Silver Star.Clessy wrote:I'd like to see
Lunar 3 (It's been long enough already)
As for the rest, I've either not played them all them all the way through or I agree with the sentiment.

I don't see how anybody who had played either of those games could possibly call World OF Warcraft a sequel to EarthboundDrinkcast wrote: EarthBound- WOW- World of Warcraft

Well if you owe the Lunar games they said they where working on Lunar 3 which will be far in the future and no connect to previous games. Plus Lunar games are perfect. Why wouldnt you want another perfect RPG?toastman wrote:Why? The story is pretty much complete. I really don't see what else they can do. have you seen the videos? they ditched the whole strategy aspect and made it into a hack n' slash gameShining Force Neo aka 4 is coming out in a few months in Japan.
it will probably be a good game, but really they shouldn't have called it shining force.
EDIT: the 4 minute trailer can be d/l'ed at this page
