Dreamcast Overclock help needed...

Post by riva16 »

I kow there are many a thread for this, but I just need a few questions answered real quick.
1. What does the DC CPU normally run at? I can't find that for some reason.
2. What is the ideal overclock speed that allows the DC to boot and run perfect, without flaw? Over-look heating inssues right now.
3. What ocsossilator would i need to get that speed? I don't know if i spelled oscossilator right or not... Who cares! Thanks for the help!

i thought it was 6x 33 mhz, so for getting to 240 mhz, replace the 33 mhz pin with a 40 mhz oscillator

Alrighty, sweet! Needed all that summed up. So from 33 Mhz point on motherboard to oscillator, from ocillator to the multiplier pin on the chip, viola, overclock, right? Given I already wired it upt o 5v for the ocillator, duhh...
