So yeah, I got my LEDs in the mail from Hong Kong today, so I put one in my Gamecube.

It looks much better than that lame orange LED.

Gamebit screwdriver or you can use the Pen trick (melt the tip of a pen (take the ink out) a little bit so that it's soft and then press it against a screw and hold in for about 30 seconds.

looks good. i would have liked to of seen the power light for the cube be blue n e ways. makes it look better n e way is it just me or does the internal battery look replace-able

Orange looks pretty good IMO. I'm sure nintendo tried several leds for the best choice for the original blue/purpel model. I would imagine blue on blue did not look good, so they picked orange. They probably didn't have the resources/time to change leds to suit the other color cases.

I'm fine with orange, red, and blue as far as leds go. As blue gets incorporated into more and more devices, I'm sure it will start to feel generic. Then people will change there leds to orange/red.

And so the cycle continues...

i like the look of that platinum cube with a blue led

personally i think a green led would be best for my black cube, but id have to do something with that dumb white front panel
