I won. I was thinking of a Dreamcast, and it took the computer 29 questions just to get to the point of guessing that I was thinking of a video game console. I could have said "close", but I decided to be nice and let the computer finally feel like it won.

It obviously doesn't know much about video game consoles, though. Here are some contradictions it seems to have detected:

Is it made of metal? You said Partly, I say No.
Does it require specific knowledge to use it? You said No, I say Yes.
Does it help accomplish tasks? You said Yes, I say No.
Is it a common household object? You said No, I say Yes.
Is some part of it made of glass? You said Yes, I say No.
Is it multicolored? You said No, I say Yes.

I was thinking of an air freshener, and it was able to guess it in 25 questions. Oddly enough, though, it asked me the same question 3 times in different ways despite me answering no every time:

Can it be worn?
Is it something you wear?
Do you wear it on your head?

Seen that about a month ago. I spent a good hour or 2 trying to trick it. Most the time I won, but it did get me a few times and I was really surprised that it did win.

I love the Uncommon Knowledge section. You learn some surprising things about common household products. For example:

Uncommon Knowledge about a stereo system
Does it taste sweet? I say Probably.
Is it usually green? I say Yes.
Does it have a pointed snout? I say Probably.
Do people own it as a pet? I say Probably.
Is it annoying? I say Yes.
Does it have hooves? I say Probably.
Can it be hunted? I say Probably.
Does it usually live on a farm? I say Yes.
Does it serve a purpose? I say Doubtful.
Does it live near water? I say Yes.
Does it have a long tail? I say Yes.
Is it originally from Europe? I say Probably.

Let's go take our annoying pet stereo system to be hunted on a farm.

It does get pretty crazy. I had some bizzare stuff come up in mine. An example would be, although this isn't one of the, Can a cup hold liquid? I say doubtful.

Basically the main purpose of the item I chose was questioned by 20Q

I saw something like this a few years ago. Instead of an open-ended 20 questions, it was a 20 questions about famous people. It got it every time I tried. I think, instead of animal, vegetable, or mineral, it asked you if it was a dictator, an athlete or an entertainer, or something like that.

I was thinking of a pill. After 20 questions it said breath mint. At 25 questions is said aspirin, 26 it said birth control, then at 29 it said pill.

It really is amazing. Very cool. And guess what? I just bought the portable version of the exact same game. It's so popular, it's sold out from the official online retailer, but you can still find 'em unopened on Ebay for reasonable prices.

It'll make a good conversation piece when people come over.

Id give $5 for one if I saw it locally. Imagine on-line it would cost $5 just for the shipping though.

They're like $26 CAD or $19 US from the official online retailer...not including S&H. And they're more or less the same price on Ebay for brand new ones too...if you shop wisely.
