Ohh wait, something i just noticed... Looks like your using the normal cathode light as the LCD's backlight... IF you change out that CCFT for about 4 - 8 ultrabright LEDs, you'll save a LOT of power consumption... You can even remove the whole circuit used to convert power fromt he board of the LCD too to save more after removign the CCF Tube... Try it man...

You should try to make some kind of lid to cover the disc during play, last thing you wanna do is accidentally hit the disc and have it get all messed up. Other than that the thing is very impressive. How did you make/where did you get that case to house the whole thing?

But then it wouldn't be as cool because there would be a bunch of them. Better to make a guide on how to do it and maybe just sell the empty cases and buttons, or kits

If you need a guide to accomplish something like this, you probably won't be able to accomplish it.
BTW, that thing looks freaking huge, but at the same time very professional!!!!! How much money did you spend on making it?

Woah...props. That is awesome. And it looks to be region free to boot!
Man, if I could do something half that cool, I'd be the happiest modder ever. Seriously, it's a portable freaking DC! Cheers to that!
