Gens Plus is not Genesis Plus.

Gens Plus is an enhancement of Gens - Genesis Plus is Charles MacDonald's emulator.

They are completely seperate codebases (Gens is almost entirely in x86 assembly).

That's not Genesis Plus. That's a modified version of Gens, which is (obviously) a completely different emulator...

extract the 1st read. put in the any root folder. Put an ip.bin in that root folder. Put a dir called roms in that folder. Put all your roms in the rom dir. Then use burnero's SELFBOOT prog and make a nero (dao) image

I used the same ip.bin I use for everything. Which ip.bin would you recomend?
It's not illegal to put ip.bin's in the files to begin with you know and if it needed a rom directory you should of included a roms folder too.

Finally got it working. Had to update the cdi2nero that came with selfboot.
Anyways it does what it clams to do the sound doesnt loop anymore. However the quality of the sound is pretty bad i'd say it has a lot to desire from SegaGENS. http://www.angelfire.com/nj4/thereturne ... undFiX.wav Thats a sound sample. To listen open a new window then cut and paste the link.

the sound quality is better than segagen, and segagen is illegal, and segagen's sound is more midi like than anything. This is only a preview and i didnt say the sound was perfect, but thanx for the opinion, any more opinions?

I think it best to cool our heals and what for BA to make a new official release. It's not like an emulator is life or death.

I can't believe you think that sounds better than SegaGens. Maybe you uploaded the PVR5 version and not PVR3.

nope segagen's sound uses a midi like processor, making the quality worse. Since this is just a preview, it does not flow as perfectly as segagen's sound, but the qualuty is better and i know blackaura can confirm that...

Theres back garbage in it. You can here it every other second. The actual quality might be better but with the static and all the fuze SegaGENs is much easier to listen to. I have to admite this is a good feat tho.

Is blackaura actually going to accept this code into his offical versions? Because PVR3 seems to sound nicer and this built into PVR3 sound would be nice. Also has anyone figured out how to fix the flickering sprites yet?

The flickering sprite thing is already mostly fixed in BA;s official source. For the 500000th time, this is just a preview, and the sound is not perfect, so NO, it wont be in his offical builds. Im sure he will put meks final sound fixes in when mek releases his source. I do not know when that is and please DONT ASK.
