Video Skipping!

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Video Skipping!

Now that I've got Divx to work I am very satisfied. Though the video skips and stops every few seconds making it impossible to watch. I'm sure I made a stupid mistake somewhere, someone tell me what I did wrong?

It could be a few things...
1. You used a too high video bitrate. Use ~500
2. You used a too high audio bitrate. I use 40k 22050hz stereo.
3. Screen size was too big. Use 320x???.
4. Make sure you use DivX4.xx when encoding NOT DIvX 3.11.

Check out this post for more info about encoding movies for DC-DivX.
