That was kind of dumb. The zelda collector's edition disc goes for like $60+, and is pretty rare.Nico0020 wrote:Got it for 32 bucks since I traded in the Zelda collecters eddition disk(which i got for free for writing down the serial codes at blockbuster )

I skipped it, since I'm expecting not that many people would get into it. Just the NIS freaks. So I'll wait for the drastic price drop. I went ahead and got Riviera for GBAmelancholy wrote:Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana.
It's the first brand new game I've actually paid full price for since MGS3. Hopefully it is worth it.

I was planning to do that with, well, most NIS games, but everytime I wait, I can never find it again. They seem to just become rare mere months after they are released. And with this one being a traditional RPG as opposed to a tactical one, I couldn't let this one pass me by like the others.Pornographic politoe wrote:I skipped it, since I'm expecting not that many people would get into it. I don't know how many copies, your city gets. But damn, here in LA I find Phantom Brave in every store I go to. I think NIS just releases to many copies of its game, but its to early to say, since they've only released 2 (including AI.) BTW, is it any good? Just looks like a decnt RPG to me.melancholy wrote:I was planning to do that with, well, most NIS games, but everytime I wait, I can never find it again. Um...try four:Pornographic politoe wrote:I think NIS just releases to many copies of its game, but its to early to say, since they've only released 2 (including AI.)
La Pucelle: Tactics
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Phantom Brave
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana
And just for the record, it seems like there were only 5 copies of Atelier Iris in the entire city. I went to 6 shops just to find the damn thing yesterday, and I finally found it at Gamestop, where they said they only recieved 5 copies. I also had to pay $5 more for it too, since it was Gamestop.
So far it's alright. It's just about as traditional as you can get for a turn based RPG. There is quite a bit of humor, as you can imagine, but this is definately one for fans. People that do not watch a lot of anime, are obsessed with polygons, or want a serious RPG should look elsewhere. Traditional to a fault, but a lot of fun to watch.Pornographic politoe wrote:BTW, is it any good? Just looks like a decnt RPG to me.

They actually didn't release 2 of those title here.melancholy wrote:Um...try four:Pornographic politoe wrote:I think NIS just releases to many copies of its game, but its to early to say, since they've only released 2 (including AI.)
La Pucelle: Tactics
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Phantom Brave
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana
Disgaea---Atlus
La Pucelle---Mastiff
So that does make 2 titles that the american branch NIS has released, I was just pointing out at how many copies of Phantom Brave they released. When I was working at EB, I remeber only 2 being sold. One by me and one by a co-worker. Then there were about 13 copies lying around. The same goes for La Pucelle, we had about 30 copies in the backroom. I never saw one walk out the store.

Yesterday's haul:
Gamegear (needs solder repair on power connector), official battery pack (needs repair, broken wire), Road Rash, MLBPA Baseball, Desert Speedtrap, and World Series Baseball. $3 for the whole lot.
Today's haul:
Dreamcast Rev1, two 3rd party memory cards, one 3rd party jump pack, one transparent neon green 3rd party controller, Tony Hawk, DOA 2, Time Stalkers, Rainbow Six, Slave Zero, NFL2K, NBA2K, Web Browser 2.0 (my only usable modem isn't a voice modem, I just tried to get both my DCs online to no avail. ;_;). $20 for all.
Atari XE, badly sun-cured, no power or peripherals, one controller with the stick snapped off. $3.
