Capcom vs SNK 1 or Capcom vs SNK 2 Better?

Hello I want to know which game should I buy in terms of better game overal! Capcom vs SNK 1 or Capcom vs SNK 2 I do not have eith and I have not played either. Are they very Differnt in gameplay graphics etc?

Control?
Graphics?
Style?
Playability?
Sound Quality?

Please reply with some quality reviewing advice. Thanks

2 supercedes 1 in all aspects. The only thing 1 did better than 2 was the soundtrack.

The only differences are the backgrounds and the new stuff in CVS 2.
The backgrounds in CVS 1 are in 2D (it looks great) and CVS 2 are in 3D ( looks great too). But CVS 2 have new fighters, new modes and new super bars. About the music I think the both games have an amazing soundtrack but CSV 1 have the bests ones. If you can buy the both games do it, the two games are awesome.

Get 2, its much better overall, pretty much does everything 1 does, and a whole lot more, more characters, more modes, more stages (imo the 3d ones look much better), go for part 2 you will love it.

Also, 2 was much more balanced than 1, and it ditched it's old crappy ratio system. You can assign each teammates ratio instead of dealing with a preset one.

Yeah, 2 is great, I love it. I didn't like 1 for a whole lot of reasons. The only thing I liked in 1 more than in 2 was soundtrack and stage intrs (some of them were really great).

CVS 2 has better graphics

and a gameplay enhenced 6 times

4 buttons is OK for most SNK chars, but not for Capcom ones!

It still play fine. I never use the LP and LK buttons anyway.

i really dont know. i enjoyed playin CVS1 more for some reason. the fight intros were pretty cool and the ratio thing made it more picky to pick the right team. CVS2 had the ratio fightin too, but u can simply do 3on3. the controls are slightly better on CVS2. if u plan on usin an arcade stick, do CVS2.. it felt more responsive to me..

get SNK2 only if you don't have another current system...cause its only $20 for the big 3

and about $40 for dreamcast imported

I wasn't a big fan of either of them. I LOVED SNK vs Capcom: MOTM tho.... is there any game on a home console that is like that in terms of gameplay and options?

Characters have almost the same sprites and look equal, but CvS2 has a lot more of them and more complete. Also, backgrounds in SvC2 are hi res 3D and look really good.

So CvS2 has better graphics IMO.

I agree with you in which CvS2 has better graphics, but it isn't because the backgrounds are in 3D. It has better because the characters are a little improved with respect to CvS1 and the backgrounds are very well made. Like the one that has the wind mills.
