a "dream" come true..then smashed!

Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

You need to assemble the files as shown in the above tutorial but instead of self-booting the disc you burn the contents of the "new" folder onto a standard data disc.
Ie. the contents of the "new" folder would be in the root dir of the data CD.

DESCRAMBLE the 1dsnes.sh4 file and then burn all the DSNES files (1dsnes.sh4, ip.bin, /sound, /local, /gfx, /roms) onto a cd MODE-1.

zacmans right, but also be sure to rename 1dsnes.sh4 to 1st_read.bin or the boot disc might get confused...

Wouldn't the 1st_read.sh4 need to be unscrambled, as well? I can't remember which format utopia reads...

ok, here we go:

1. get the plainfiles release of dsnes and unzip it wherever
2. put dcscram.exe in the "cd" folder of dsnes (get it here: http://dev.dcemulation.org/files/devtoo ... cscram.zip )
3. copy and paste the following into a blank text file also in the "cd" folder and rename it to whatever.bat:

Code: Select all

dcscram -d 1dsnes.sh4 1st_read.bin
del *.sh4
del *.exe
del *.bat
now open the .bat file and it will convert the file... now burn the entire contents of the "cd" folder (not the folder itself, just the files) onto a mode1 disc (your roms will go in a roms folder by the way)..have fun

If you downloaded the Descramble kit that I posted a link to earlier just click on scramble.bat and press 2 to descramble then type in 1dsnes.sh4 press enter and it is descrambled.
