Post by Ian Micheal »

Well here is the cut down HTML version of my homebrew game. There is going to be a big upgraded version with 3d grafix and some other gameplay parts dont want to spoil it but for people with out a burner or that wants to test a cut down version here it is online.

will work on dc browser or IE or other's.

http://www.geocities.com/gabbiangel01/game/index.html

have fun.

Directors cut will have great grafix and more to do as in battles and RPG 3d elements.

WOW!!!
The Style of this game reminds me great AVGs from the 80s on MSX/Sinclair Spectrum(vila maldita, Amity Vile, Palhada City, Danger Mouse, etc), they are very very fun. If you mix a great story, sound & gfx to this, certainlly will be a great game.

You can get the contest dc version here

http://www.imrtechnology.ngemu.com/homegames.htm
has music and some things added for dreamcast.

New version will be in the making for a long time yet. But it will be worth the wait. Yeah Im a c64 fan the game was made in that style the 80's did suit what people like these days. But it's my fav game style.

I know going to be hosted for me soon just need to give all the files for the online version to my freind.

New version will share the style of the old just a lot more interaction as todays gamers really dont know this style of games any more.

Dc version is fully playable there are many endings and takes over 30 mins play at lest just reading the story on the contest version.

Lic to it has been sold now. New version of the classic one fully polished will be pressed and sold but thats up to them now out of my hands.

So if I gather this properly, you are remaking Whispered Secrets with 3D style graphics?

man, Ian. I used to read those books all the time, but my teachers said that they're not "real" books and that he didn't want me reading them. He sucked, lol. Anyways, those books were almost like readable video games, ha ha ha. I'm downloading it right now, and I'm sure that I'll be impressed.

Yeah screen shot is of the new version which will follow the story of the contest one . Only the classic amiga style hand drawn grafix dc contest version is for download just so you dont get mixed up. it's as complete as i could get it at the time.

New one will be very good grafix and much better gameplay. Glad there is intrest as well.

Means i will work more on this then emulation for some time.

Ian,
If you need any help incorporating any RPG-esque elements into your game there, let me know. I've been working on the ljsdcdev engine again, and I'm on a RPG kick :).
