I just picked up Shenmue...

I just bought Shenmue for 15$ cdn, is that a good deal? I originally went to pick up Grandia II, but they had sold it... Good thing they had this though.

Also picked up another VMU for 15$... argh... Oh well, they arn't very easy to find here.

i buy vmu's for $3, shenmue is a badass game to play, so is grandia 2, but i like shenmue more.

Yeah, but apparently they are a lot more common in the US than in Canada here... I have 2 VMUs purchased for 15$ each. BLAH. Took me forever to find a pawnshop that even had 'em.

The controls take a bit of getting used to... and Ryo seems to block what you're trying to see in front of him inside, but I'm having fun.

I plan to Western Union when I order my PSX/N64 to USB off lik-sang.

I'd prefer not to money order, takes too long. *sigh*

Shenmue 2 is quite possibly the best DC game made. Its a lot better than the first, so you can imagine how good it is

yes. I loved shenmue. But when I got shenmue 2 I freaked out. Get the DC version though. They butchered the Xbox version. paying the extra money for the DC one is sooooooooo worth it.

I loved the fact Australia got Shenmue 2 yet the US didn't, it almost made up for all the games we didn't get.

Yeah 3$... BLAH. Well I found a place that has ONE for 10$... I'll pick it up next cheque. It's 5$ cheaper so I might as well.

Also, I just bought Skies of Arcadia and Cannon Spike for 23$.

EDIT: I also need to find a place that I can get a controller cheaper than 20$... All these multiplayer games and I can't multiplay without another controller.

There is no way in hell I'll go for the X-box ver. It just DC for me. But this'll be a pain in the ass considering I live in America...

*shrugs* I don't know what they mean, but when I looked at the pictures the colour seemed a bit washed out on the XBOX version and things were like... stretched or compressed... like.. items and some other things seemed to be bigger and stretched...

Plus the horrible job of the english subtitles. Worst. Gaming voices. EVER!!

Blah I played the XB version of Shen2 for a bit and I couldn't stand it. In Shen1 it was kinda comical. I managed to play the game just fine, but the voices always seemed wrong for the game and almost brought the quality of the game down a bit IMO. But in japanese you're playing it how it should be played. Jap (DC) > Eng (XB)
