OMG! My mom caught me with this in Shonen Jump!

Yo, I hate Yu-gi-oh like the next guy, but I love anime so I decided to buy this manga compilation book which included MANY animes that we all know and love. My mom doesn't know that the books read from right to left, and she's the "tough christian" type. Well, She flipped through a few pages and saw THIS image along with even worse ones that I can't post on here! I didn't even know that these images were allowed in such a maintream book! What excuse should I use?!? Help me! The clock is ticking and my mom was razzing me about it, but now she thinks I'm a pervert!! HELP!!!!

But thats not porn thats a fully accepted method of clothing.

I dont mean to sound like Im flaming, but you americans really need to lighten up about sex. i fin dit amazing that you have such a large porn industry, but mainstream magazines like Maxim have never printed a bare nipple in the US, while the Uk version does it all the time.

thanks for your comments, but what's the use? I've always been raised as a "goodie too-shoes" and my parents have taught me to "look away" during movies scenes since I was young. It's a triggered reflex now, and I have to buy things and lie about them just so I can do what I want. I always have to lock my door before watching a movie like Ghost in the Shell or Ninja Scroll, and I don't even feel safe with Dragonball Z around. I can't wait to move out. I know that my parents watch movies with nude scenes in them all the time, but my family has to humor one another for no reason at all, lol. I just don't know what to do.........I wish I was raised in Japan.

Hmm...well I guess theres nothing you can do about parents like that really, theres a guy I know whos 18, and his mum still doesnt let him come out to a pub, or let him round peoples houses later than 8pm

I think my mum let me go the pub starting when I was about 13/14.

Best thing to do is be honest. It's a kid's show, here. You didn't know anything as risqu? as that was going to be in the book.

And that's nothing. Imagine me trying to explain Devil's Hammer to my mom. There's beheading, disembowelment, pissing on the virgin mary, lots of nudity (frontal male as well), and plenty of swearing and blaspheming. Mind you this is just a 3-comic arc, so they fit it all in a tight space.

America is extremely diverse on its views of sex in media. The Christian die hard fundamentalists are in the minority actually. Like you said, that's why we have such a large porn industry. Pornography can be found by anyone with the brains to know where to look. But it is true, we do try and hide it from children. Dont see anything wrong with that. How often do you see nipples on DCEMU? You dont, despite quite a few admins hailing from the UK.

Yeah how old are you? If your older then 13 I dont see a problem with it. I am Christian or Catholic cant remember... but they dont care. Honestly it is good for the soul
