Megaman BattleNetwork Online?!

Post by Hawke »

hey..
i was thinking

im sure many, if any of you have played Halo 1 online via Xbox connect.

With the release of Mario kart double dash just around the corner, demad for the BBA is going to increase, cue to its lan capabilities. If this is possible, Using the GBA player, would it be possible to hook something similar to XBox Connect up, but make it for Net Battling?

I;d say it were a theoretical possibility. In fact, due to the way the hardware is set up, I'd say that any solution that could be made to do what you're saying would also work for an ordinary Gameboy Advance.

I meant what did VampireHawke mean. It sounded as if he meant GBA games through the GBA Player to me, but you've read it as Gamecube games.

aye.. i meant GBA games.

If you've ever played BN1-2-3 and soon 4, you'd probably be in the same boat as me, wanting to be ablt to 'netbattle' via the net. Maybe some kinda chat room or the like. Something like Kaillera.

I hate to think what netbattling would be like on-line. IT would be a bunch of geeks who have too much time on there hands getting super chips and beating the hell out of average Joe Gamer. Either that or just full of hackers with custom made cheat chips.

its been brought to my attention, that the connection that the GBA link cable transfers is 3megs/s There's allmost no way to get that over a tcp/ip, uness you're loaded and got some kinda dual t3...

but then i had an idea!!

if it needs the 3 meg transfer to run the game, im sure that theoreticaly, you could emulate two rom's/two emulattors one each pc. Then each person would be sending nothing more than key strokes over the net. That way, the link is being done on your pc, and very little is being transfered.
