US PS2 price drop eminant??

I can't find the link at arcadeathome, but there was post about the PS2/Xbox dropping in price in the upcoming weeks. Any news about a similar drop in the US?

I heard that all 3 consoles will drop their price at end of Sept.

Well, if the PS2 gets a price drop, the other two will pretty much have to as well. That was the story the last time the PS2 price dropped.

I don't think it's sudden -- all 3 platforms have been steadily declining for a while now.

Also, typically at this stage, production costs are rock-bottom, so the consoles are finally turning a profit.
