Divx on DC?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

The DivX core is too cpu-intensive ... it likely will never run at above 5fps without major DC-specific hand-made optimizations.

It would be a lot easier on the X-Box then it would on the DC [The X-Box is x86 already, and it has a 733mhz processor]...

It's not a player, it required convesion to the dreamcast SFD format.
The conversion program itself (contrary to popular belief) is freeware... unfortunately, the only player we have is warez'd (or to be more exact, ripped from ODM, the NTSC Demo disk).

Well, these people were wrong. I just brought this up to show how much progression was put into this project.
