Talk about Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, or other DC first person shooting game ports and mods for those games in here.

My Dreamcast died the other day, I have no way to mod for it now.
I'm going to be selling my Dreamcast & all it's games and I'm no longer supporting it, the reason is that even if I get another Dreamcast it'll just break again. I originally bought it for about $150 at the store.

This makes me sad too.

Codename Corporal, and I had an other one on the way - now it's going to be PC only.

I know, but as I said.. why? It'll just be a matter of time before it decides to break on it's own. I like consoles that have a longer lasting time then 2 years.

I fixed my Dreamcast somehow, I just picked it up and wiped the lens with my shirt applying some force and now it's playing Audio CDs and Dreamcast games flawlessly, how strange!!

Guess I'm not leaving :D Sorry about that folks heh..

It was already on dcemu main site! Its quite cool, a multiplayer stand alone mod very professional-looking one. It doesn't need q1 full version. I'm still having much fun playing it....

Codename: Corporal was a combined effort of myself and Tyne. He did all the basics and had it running well. Mainly what I did was the DC friendly menus (complete with a hidden cheat menu), added a few maps, added a new game mode, and took it from a partial conversion (simple mod) to a total conversion (stand alone game)

Tyne dropped it after his initial release to go work on the (unfinished/unreleased) single player version... but I saw too much potential to leave it at what I saw and picked it up and ran with it (well walked slowly since it took many months for me to get my release done)

Tyne gave much feedback on it the last month or so before I made my release. He even did the new player sounds. The last release was deffenately a joint venture... without him it'd never have been started and without me it may never have gotten where it is. I'm proud of our work... though it was hardly touched by the PC quake community in its current state. (the new menu may have made it a bit PC unfriendly...)

Tyne also forgot to mention his involvement in the early stages of the development of Prydon Gate (back when it was simply called RPG) he did have some influence in all other stages of development too even after FrikaC took it over.

In other news... FrikaC was talking with me about current developments with Prydon Gate a few days ago. No word on a possible release date or if it is still DC compatable... any way it goes its good to hear that it is back/still in development since so many mods get to a first or second beta/demo release and die off silently.

Codename: Corporal?
You can get version2 beta2 from
http://www.edgefiles.com/files/5125.html
or
http://quakedev.dcemulation.org/downloa ... 2beta2.zip

Its a demo kinda... but there isnt a full version. Its a farely complete beta of what I wanted it to become. I had mainly planned to add more gamemodes and teamplay. Its very playable as it is and some people really do find it fun.

If your talking about Prydon Gate then you can try this location:
http://quakedev.dcemulation.org/mods/pr ... n_demo.zip

Diablo in 3D with it's own set of weapons etc, I did the animations and VWep models for it and a bunch of other little things. It's pretty well made.
