Use a 560 for the first and a 470 for the second. Look for cheap generic resistors like these

Yeah with ressistors you can't get exact values but for general modding purposes it isn't nessesary to have 100% correct values :mrgreen:

the 560 ohms one i need wasn't in the list where you write how many you need. One question... I really don't understand what the above value I wrote means. Is 470 the ohms, and what is +/-5?

+/-5 means that these resistors can have values which differ up to +/-5%

I may be mistaken, but I think those types of markings are still based on the base + exponent system. So "562" would actually be 56 x 10^2 = 5.6Kohm.

edit: yeah, those are base + exponent, just checked it on my VGA cable (which happened to be handy as I just got through adding a 15.75KHz/31.5KHz switch to it for KOF Dream Match 1999 and Bangaiou fun 8-))

Kohm = 10^3, not 10^2.

Only if the coefficient is less than 10. 10 x 10^2 = 10^3 = 1000.

oh yea, I didn't see that, I just presumed you typed 5.6 X 10^2 as thats proper scientific notation

where did you get the numbers in your first post?
from a multimeter? from a website?
-if so then you need a 560 and a 470

if you got them from reading the values on the resistor then a 4.7k and a 5.6k are what you need

Hey, do any of you know where I can find a .39ohm resistor to repair my DC controller port?

I tried using a 10ohm, but the resistance is too high (the VMUs freak out whenever I have more than 1 plugged in).

I can't find anything less than a 5ohm anywhere.
