I have an L-shaped desk with one side slightly higher up than the other, so I've technically got two desktops. Here they are:
And here's my desktop at home (though you can barely see it under all the stuff):

Do you disable the desktop too? I've never found the desktop really useful, so I started disabling it a few years ago once I found out OS X had that capability.BlueCrab wrote:I guess I'm the only one posting in here now...

I just generally keep nothing in my ~/Desktop directory. Only thing I disabled was disc drive icons from showing up on the Desktop, since those just tend to annoy me.pixel wrote:Do you disable the desktop too? Re: Post your desktop thread
The only time I ever really see my desktop is starting up and shutting down. I edited the Finder's plist to disable the desktop, so the entire feature is disabled. Otherwise, everything is maximized and in separate spaces. Hazel keeps my desktop and download folders neat and tidy.BlueCrab wrote:I just generally keep nothing in my ~/Desktop directory. I'm a bit late on this one but that reminds me of those interactive 'desktop' programs that were popular in the pre-win95 days.Jeeba Jabba wrote:girlfriend just walked in on me setting this up.
