I imagine the easiest way would be to pick up one of those 5-7" portable screens, get a Ciggy Light ---> Power Plug Adaptor and hook it all up. That would probably be an immense drain on the car's battery though, and there are probably much better ways. Hardware Forum would be your best bet for this sort of thing.

All depends how well you wanna do this... screens built into the head rests are the nicest way, and it wouldn't be easy to set up the whole system (sega had somehting about this with some guys and a dreamcast). But you gotta know what you wanna do first. Build it all into the car, or just get a ghey lcd screen off the roof or between the seats and a XBOX underneat the car seats/trunk.

i've got a screen in the front, the only part i can't figure out is how to get power to the xbox, maybe i'll just put a DC in instead since i can get a cigg lighter adapter.

Of all the systems on the market you gotta pick the biggest one for your car. Why not a Gamecube, its smaller?

I've got a really good friend with an Xbox in his '02 Maxima. I'm not sure how it's wired, but the Xbox is in the trunk and connected to a power supply, and some kind of amp to go through the stereo. I think he had it professionally installed. The whole thing...screens and all...cost him around $4000.

ok, im going to sum this up real quick:

equipment needed:

1 Yellow Top Battery
1 Power Inverter [this is the CHEAPEST way to do it!]
1 LCD Screen [or DVD Player with AV INPUTS]
1 4 channel amplifier [if the DVD Player does not have AUDIO INPUTS!]

Now, heres how it goes:

Connect the POWER Inverter to the YELLOW TOP Battery

plug X-Box into power inverter

you will need to run the AV's to the DVD PLAYER / LCD Screen

Assuming the DVD Player / LCD has Audio Inputs, you would now be done and ready to play.

If it does not, you will need to install an amplifier to produce sound.

Thanks.

It sounds so awesome to have a video game going through a nice system. I was playing Syphon Filter in my truck and the explosions and what not rattling with my bass was awesome. Good times watching vcds in there too. And the directions ninja gave are pretty much everything you have to do. But if you are unfamiliar with screwing with your cars electrical system, or battery, I would suggest letting a professional install what you need installed. You dont want to short something, or wire something incorrectly and injure yourself. Most car stereo places will put in like a 5-7" flip down LCD in with T.V. tuner and video game capabilities for 6-900 dollars nowadays, it doesnt have to be like thousands anymore. At least here in LA.
