Poor burner.
Anone have an idea on why my burner seems to get errors everytime I burn an Audio CD ? Sometimes it get's to like 95% then an error and I only miss a little off the end, but usally not. Im pretty sure it's only with the audio.

usually happens if you have a lot of things running while burning.

Already tried. I tried burning at 4x....It's a Samsung burner so it ain't a cheap one. Had no other apps but still get burning errors.ninja wrote:Well, i know that with some of the "knock off" burners, such as the "lite-on" burners, they tend to error. i would say to knock the recording speed down to 8x, shut down all programs but nero [aim, clone cd, msn messenger, whatever....]

I think your burner is about done. I had my first burner for 3 years, and all of a sudden all types of disks were getting errors: audio, data, movies, ect... I tried everything from new media, to turning everything off while burning, burning at 1x, and trying different programs. I think pretty soon nothing will burn correctly and you will need a new burner. I bought a plexwriter and its the best damn burner I have ever used.

They're not 'Knock-offs'..... in fact, Lite-On drives are some of the best out there today...

Nah, I've been usign the same brand for quite a while, and the first like 30 out of this same pack were fine.
It's not the number of Audio tracks no matter how many I try there seems to always be a burning error at some time...and if it was...I want to be able to burn a CD with more songs!
Everything else seems to burn fine Emu's, Video etc...Damn, I really don't wanna buy a enw burner till a few months when Im building a new computer.
