Nester&Dcgunuboy 4 dummies!!

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

At Jack_15's request I've upped the proggie to the needed tools page, so if you want to download load it, grab it from here to save him some bandwidth.

Wow - this is one of the best self-booting tools out there.

If anyone is interested, I created a tool very similar to this (minus the RAR support - still has ZIP) that worked with Smeg. If you want to download and try SmAZ! then go here: http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewto ... light=smaz

Thxx Dr. Zoidberg

p.s az_bont you should add these comands

del roms\*.txt
del roms\*.doc
del roms\*.html
ect

because not all of the the zips come just with the roms and -j for info-zip so it doesnt create directorys

Thanks - you should also add commands for deleting *.htm files as not all sites use the .html extension and one for .lnk files as lots of ROM sites keep a link to their site in there as well.

In always assumed that they only supported .BMP extensions - are you sure there are any others?

I... can't get it to work. Tried it a bunch of times but keep getting this sort of screen:

--------------------------------
NESTER
'DCGUNUBOY' in not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
BY: JACK_15
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?
---------------
1.)USE N
'D4DUMMIES' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
How do I use it?

1.) Move...
...
NOTE
4.)now..
5.)burn..
Press any key to continue . . .
-------------------------------

First I did what I understand to be the right course of actions. I opened the download and saved it to a folder. Then I downloaded Nester v. 6.0 and saved the 'IP' and '1ST_READ' files directly to the DATA folder. I put two .NES games in there too. Jumped up to the N&D4dummys folder and ran 'DG&NE4Dummies'. That's when I got the above screen.

I also tried just running the program without changing anything, same screen with same errors.

OK, as I was typing this, I had a friend download the program and try it out on his computer same as I did, and it seems to be working, which I guess means the problem is exclusive to my computer. That probably makes it impossible to help (or to bug report) but I had finished typing everything already, so I figured I'd go ahead and post.
