What are some of your special videogame items?
I was wondering; since there are a lot of hardcore gamers here, what special items do you cherish as part of your videogame collection whether or not it is very rare to semi-rare?

I own a copy of Klonoa for PSX. It is my prized possession. I have it locked away for safekeeping. Copies of it are pretty rare in the US, and it took me about a year to find one in a store (cause Ebay is way overpriced). But I did, and now I have the complete Klonoa collection in the US! Next I'm going to import Klonoa Beach Volleyball, but I'm unsure of any good importing sites, and I'm kinda poor at the moment.

Very good game. I scored it for $30 from Babbages, when the street value for the game (ebay, trade in stores) is $100+ !!

yeah, to be honest the R.O.B. itself is so crap I ended up playing with my feet instead; the object of the game is to open either blue or red gates to get through a maze, and you did it by hitting select, and then your R.O.B. would pick up infra red commands from your TV, and drop an electronically spun gyroscope onto either a red or blue lever you attached to your second controller, which would then use a kind of analogue lever system to press either A or B accordingly.anal=probe wrote: My friend had one of those way back when the NES first came out. Do you know if it's possible to play Gyromite without it? Is it playable on any emus?
Beleive me, this sounds much cooler than it actually was to use
R.O.B. gathered dust in a cupboard, the gyro spinner became a new toy, and I played Gyromite using my feet to hit a or b on controller 2 as necessary. I've never tried it on an emulator, but it should be perfectly playable on an emulator just by mapping player 2 a and b to handy keys.
Its not even as though its that good a game or anything

Hmm I guess my Virtual Boy and all the original box and wrappings it came in. Actually with all my games and systems I have saves the box and manuals and stuff. It's all in one big box out in the garage. Oh and my Nomad. I guess my DC collection is special too cause I have a lot of games that are hard to find nowadays. Oh and my 4 copies of Bleem GT2 (3 still wrapped)

Hmm. well, I HAD a Genesis with some really tight games like Shinobi 3, and Weaponlord, but my GF's lil sister nabbed it as she left back to Cali, so HMPH.
I did manage to hold onto my beloved copy of Warsong, complete with manual and case.
Other than that, I have my beloved Sega Saturn with the following games;
1. Virtua Fighter 2
2. Nights
3. Panzer Dragoon
4. Clockwork Night
5. Street Fighter Alpha
6. Daytona USA
7. Rayman
8. Tomb Raider
and various other obscure titles that I cant remember.
I also have a opened but mint copy of Ogre Battle 64, a opened but mint PSX Final Fantasy Anthology, and a sealed copy of Final Fantasy Tactics. Also an original (not greatest hits) copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Plus, I have mint copies of ALL the best DC fighters;
Marvel vs Capcom
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Capcom vs SNK
Capcom vs SNK 2
Mark of the Wolves
Street Fighter 3: Double Impact
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
The Last Blade 2
KOF: Evolution
It's really a shame that Ikaruga was never really planned for a Dreamcast release. I was told that developer supposed to have been porting it, never had any such intentions, not even for other systems. Quite a shame. Perhaps for MAME?, and possibly a DC port? Nah......

If only sega would have put a hook on for the Sega CD or something on a Nomad. Lunar at school = really cool.jared1619 wrote:I also have the original Resident Evil in the big box. I never thought of it as being worth anything though. I still have the little foam thing that goes in the case lol. Also got a nomad. I remember buying for $100 and I probably spent more than that on batteries for it.
