Max Payne for Dreamcast

Post by ambientdistortions »

Does anyone know how complete this game was?

I've seen screenshots over on http://www.gamescreenshots.com but I'm not sure if that's REAL screenshots or just some PS2 shots put under the
DC section.

Damn I want Max Payne for my DC :)

:P

I really doubt those are real. They do indeed look like the PS2 version.

I'm about 1/3rd of the way through Max Payne for the Xbox, and I do like the game very much.
I don't think I would have liked it as much on dreamcast; the control scheme would not have worked too great.

DNR the current kickass dc programer. Thanks
for the emulator I've been waiting 2 years for.

Thanks to Reaper2k2 also for showing interest into WSC emulation.

Max?

Post by Chainfist »

Who Cares about MAX?!? Its the 98% Complete Half-Life that boggles my mind! Like Jeeze.. MAX never even had any Dreamcast Advertising... but Half Life on the other hand had a double page spread in Dreamcast Magazine, promising enhanced graphics and new levels.

(Funny, a month after DC production stopped, the PC version "HL-Blue Shift" came out with enhanced grafix upgrades and new levels for the PC...)

Too Bad about MAX though.. that would have been nice too...

HL was 100% complete, the final copies sent to magazines were the pre-production copy which was completely finalised.

Yes, we were sent one years back. It ran great, although things looked a bit scaled back akin to q3 etc. Regardless, it's a shame it never came out, and too bad I wasn't into DC back then, or I would have certainly "borrowed" it from the office as all us mole people do from time to time :D

I don't get it... People just don't get it. Dreamcast is a lot more powerful than you think. If you want to see Max Payne in action on the Dreamcast, goto dreamcast.ign.com and go to there previews. Then click M and click Max Payne. They got pictures of the Dreamcast version there.

How many pre-production games are out there... kicking around magazine offices etc etc!!!!!!

Do you see where this is leading?!?
