Dreamcast online games definatley finished !!!
It's surely this way with me, Quake 3 is absolutley no use anymore because of it's connection to Dreamarena, and my Starlancer and Worms World Party don't get on either.
The only one that i belive still possibley works, but refuses to, is Phantasy Star Online V1&V2, i've tried for 6 weeks solid to get it working and it refuses to start up the game, it just says it is being maintained possibly.
Can anybody in Europe tell me what the story is, and what is with BT click, it dosn't work for DreamKey 3 at all, nice one Sega.

I'm using Freeserve, paying as i go, and i can use my Dreamcast online fine (browsing the net and stuff), it's just the games are usless now and Phantasy Star is really frustrating me, refusing to get me online with it.
For some reason i think it's to do with the serial and access codes (which i'm making sure i'm inputting correctley), i hope i haven't bought a messed up game (Sega gave me the wrong code).

Yeah, and my line got disconnected just as we were about to fight that worm boss tooDreamc@st wrote: I was also playing with NyArLoThOtEp the other day
I only have 2 online games PSOv1 and Chu Chu Rocket, and I can confirm PSOv1 works fine... Im not even gonna bother trying to get Chu Chu online again - its crap.
Im guessing you need to change your ISP settings as dreamarenas gone down, and youre probably still trying to connect using that - either set up a new ISP with Dreamkey3.0 (if you have it) or get that FISA file that lets you change your modem settings (available on the DreamSNES site somehwere I seem to rmember)
EDIT: nm, I just read above: I wouldn't think its your access key as it gives you an incorrect access key error message when you try and connect with a bad one - I'll also tell you for free (from personal experience - search this forum for my PSO woes in an older topic) Sega Europe dont care if you have lost your access and serial numbers.
Try connecting with a different ISP if I were you, it could be freeserve doesn't allow whatever protocols PSO uses...

LOL, Chu Chu....I bought that the other day for ?1 even though I already had it... Just for the case.
That FISA works great. I was using it before DK3.0 was released (DC used to cost loads to get online before that was out).

I'm a little confused, i've set up my account and am getting online with Freeserve, however it's not getting me online with my games anymore and i think Phantasy Star is just busted with me period.
By the way Chu Chu uses Dreamarena, oops, no more gaming there i'm afraid, and bye bye Quake 3, STUPID SEGA FOOLS COULDN'T JUST KEEP DREAMARENA ACTIVE...

Damn... I didn't know that you all played. I'd have to create a new character, but it'd be fun as hell to have a DCEmu PSO group.
Speaking of which, I've only played the game offline. Does a dial-up connection work well enough to play comfortably? Also, is it possible to use an existing ISP with your Dreamcast? I have earthlink right now and I'd really like to get my thing working.
Obviously, I'm a complete newbie to online DC use... if someone could give me a hand with it, I'd appreciate it a LOT.

Since your in the US, you might wanna try to get your hands on a old copy of the planetweb browser to change/input your isp settings. I use ( well, did use) ver. 2.6. if you have any demos from the old "official dreamcast magazine" look for a planet web broswer on the demo disc. there was a couple of demos with that broswer on it. And the dail-up works fine.. I got earthlink too, and its a pretty stable connection.BTW: Where can I find DreamKey 3?
