Re: Dreamcast-Scene.com relaunched !
Ugh... what a mess. First DCEvolution is taken down, and now Dreamcast-Scene gets spammed into oblivion.
Here's a thought: if anyone still has the old DCEvo archives, would it be possible to incorporate those releases and information into either Dreamcast-Scene or DCEmulation? Perhaps, given how small the scene currently is, DCS and DCEmu could even consider merging. It would be nice to have a central resource.

DC Emu is not interested in mergers with any other forum.DaMadFiddler wrote:Ugh... what a mess. First DCEvolution is taken down, and now Dreamcast-Scene gets spammed into oblivion.

It has been talked about a lot, so hopefully we won't start talking about it again cause it is just a waste of time.

Assuming you're talking about THIS DCEmu and not the other one, I don't think anyone has ever ruled out merging with another forum from this end.cube_b3 wrote:DC Emu is not interested in mergers with any other forum.

However, I do recall people from the other ends of merger suggestions refusing.
Besides, such things are generally logistical nightmares. For instance, who hosts it? How do you merge the forum databases? What about old moderators/admins on the forums? There are all kinds of logistical problems to solve in any such thing, especially when you're talking about merging sites that have long and established histories.

Re: Dreamcast-Scene.com relaunched !
Sorry if the post was unclear; I don't know about him, but I at least was referring to here. I know there'd be questions of logistics regarding the best way to handle such a move, but the Dreamcast scene is so small and scattered these days that I think it would be greatly beneficial to try and build a central location.
Of course, I also have larger plans that I'd love to see enacted, but they would require a considerable amount of help:
