Actor Leslie Nielsen Has Passed Away

Found out this morning.

Iconic Canadian actor Leslie Nielsen has died.

Nielsen appeared in more than 100 movies, with the star shining perhaps most brightly in comedies including Airplane! and The Naked Gun.

He died Sunday afternoon in a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from complications of pneumonia. He was 84.

Well, no Naked Gun 4. As if it was ever going to happen?

I have never seen AirPlane this weekend I'm going to get a bunch of friends together and finally see it.

This was a huge bummer. Irvin Kershner (director of two of my personal favorites, The Empire Strikes Back and Robocop 2) also passed away shortly before Nielsen.

and now I want to watch Airplane. Amazingly Forbidden Planet (and not Airplane) was the first role I saw him in when I was a kid since I'm nerdy like that.
