Super Street Fighter 4 Discussion

Post by cube_b3 »

Well we can all discuss the game here, but first does anyone have any idea how to unlock the gallery?

Now since everyone knows the good stuff here is my nitpicking:
Where's the third bonus stage?
Where are the stages for all of the characters?
and I miss the street fighter 2 Plane which would fly country to country marking an X over countries visited also defeated characters would go silver...

These are the three things I could bitch about.

I'm not buying SSFIV.

I already own SFIV. They aren't pulling that same shit on me again they tried in the 16bit era.

They never had an upgrade with 10 new playable characters in the 16-bit era.

I also don't remember the genesis getting a hundred upgrades... it directly got the champions edition and then Super, i maybe wrong.

The Snes on the other hand had like 4 or 5 versions released.
Also not all the stuff from the last game made it over such as the character select screen and the gallery (prologues, endings, trailers).

Nope; SNES just got a port of World Warrior and Genesis didn't.

I got it too. It's fucking awesome. Quite possibly the most beautiful game ever.

Yes all the gallery features appear to be removed, so if you want to see old engings/prologues you need the orignal game or YouTube.

Also I hate the fact that the game has like 10 stages (converted into a few more by changing time), one of the essential reasons of Street Fighters success was each characters distinct stage fleshing out there personality that is also how each character got the theme songs that are being used to date (even in this game).

Having individual stages greatly added to the streetfighter experience as well by giving the feeling of touring the world and fighting with the respected fighter's in their home towns... it's so weird when your fighting Deejay in a stage that is better suited for Blanka.

I love the way this game looks and I don't dislike fighting games, but...
- I have almost zero chance of playing this locally with other people
- My internet is full of lag
- I can't button-bash my way through a Namco fighter on the easiest setting
- I need a reason to come back to a game beyond just getting better (especially if I have nobody to beat)
could I get my money's worth out of this? :P

Maybe if you are into B leved anime clips?

You can see them on Youtube though, although you won't get to hear the ingame dialogue with the rival, and watching those crappy endings mean so much more when they are after actually finishing the game.
