Atari Teenage Riot - Burn, Berlin, Burn

I already have the album, but this one was a promo copy with a radically different version of Deutchland Has Gotta Die!

It's kinda hard to tell at this point. It's......different. It's got an 80's synth pop sound that I'm kinda torn over. I like it...but I would like it more if it was any other band. To me, AFI is the in-your-face punk band from Black Sails, and it's still hard for me to accept the fact that Black Sails AFI no longer exists. If you can listen to the new album without compairing it to anything else they've ever done...it's enjoyable. If you're not able to do that...it'll sound kinda watered down. If the only AFI album you're familier with is Sorrow, the new album is a decent follow up. Just be prepaired for a more radio-friendly album with brighter overtones.

I'd probably like it then. I've only heard Sing The Sorrow, All Hallows, and The Art Of Drowning. I actually prefer their sellout stuff to their older, more punkish stuff. Sing The Sorrow used to be my favorite album for like a year after it came out.

But still, you can't deny that Totalimmortal is one of the coolest punk songs ever.

I had to take a pass on this, cuz i hated blink 182, and from what i hear, it's the same crap all over again.
It is nothing like Blink 182 at all. AVA is crap, but Blink was good for good immature punkish/fun style of music.

It's totally different from Blink-182, but in a bad way. Tom tries too hard to be deep and serious with the songwriting, but it's repetitive and dumb.

"I think I like today, I think it's good."

I think it's good? WTF is that? And don't forget about the song "It Hurts", where he repeats "it hurts, it hurts, it hurts" 17 times before each verse.

It's not a bad album, but not good either. I have a lot more faith in Mark and Travis' new project Plus 44. Mark seems to be the same ol' G as before, but Tom's ego is just out of control now.
