I hooked a second monitor up to my computer

At home I use a dual monitor setup, where the second monitor is my television to watch videos and stuff.

i really wanted to do this, but my grafix card says it won't support it, even though it is really good (Radeon 9800 pro with tv out and DVI)

r u sure? cuz i have a radeon 9250 and an older 7000 ve and both support dual monitor setups.

No, I don't have a dual monitor set-up. I don't have the space, and find it disorienting. For what I need to do, my single 19" CRT (soon to be replaced by an LCD) works fine.

2 CRT's really take up a lot of room, which is probably one of the reasons I took mine down.

My GeForce 6600 didn't have any problems with the taskbar spanning the two monitors. I opened a ton of FireFox windows as well, worked like it should.

Hrmm... I have my 17" iMac and a 17" LCD display hooked up spanning... but I think I'm just going to upgrade to a new 20".

Dual displays is wonderful though... except stupid people that think " WOW TWO COMPUTERS?!!!111oen"

I am running duals right now. To extend your bar and such look into MultiMon. It's free.

You could also run 2 computers and get multiplicity. It's pretty fuckin sweet.
