awesome topic.

I get tons of toys, mostly gashapons. Play-asia is awesome for that.

Most of my music, either from Japan (favorite band: Lucifer), Thailand (favorite band: SillyFools), Germany (too much to count), Sweden (random Gothenburg), etc.

About a dozen games per year, usually retro ones (right now working on Saturn and DC, the occasional SFC to fill the gaps). Occasional bootlegs from Taiwan/Thailand just to laugh at them (like really bad PS games that never came to US that are SOOO bad they're not legally worth owning).

LOTS of movies from Japan, Thailand, and China. Mostly action and comedy.

Beer from Japan (Sapporo, Kirin), China (Tsing Tao), Thailand (Singha), and an occasional European import (even though a lot of these are bottled in north america).

Tons of food product from my local Assi supermarket and Chinatown.

Ive never imported games or movies. I've only imported a few CD's and albums, and those were just for novelty value. I've imported chocolates once or twice.

Most of the german music I like is power metal and heavier industrial, so yeah some of it sounds like Rammstein, KMFDM, etc.

What? Where the hell have you been for the last fifteen years?

I personally can't stand KMFDM, but I don't know that I've ever met anyone that hasn't heard of them.

They're going by the name MDFMK nowadays, though.

I imported a Sega Nomad and a few games for which the PAL equivalent featured territorial lockout from America.

I've also gotten a fair number of DVDs from Canada - sometimes because I want them earlier, like Resident Evil, or other times because it wasn't available over here, like The Critic boxset.

Nope, that was years ago. MDFMK had less original members and only released one album plus one song for Heavy Metal 2000. They reformed as KMFDM without En Esch and that's what they are today.

Try the albums Nihil, Xtort, and "symbols" (has a skull, bomb, explosion, snake on the front), they're my favorites.

The first two songs from Nihil were kinda popular. "Ultra" was used in a Manga (the anime company) video trailer for years, and "Juke Joint Jezebel" was remixed and used in the first Mortal Kombat movie (I forget which fight).

I imported the Star Wars Trilogy on VCD from Malaysia a few years ago, along with a couple of other VCD's just because they were cheap. More recently, I imported a Gamepark32 and a DC Coder's cable. I think that's all I've ever imported myself, although I've bought plenty of alcoholic beverages locally that came from outside the country.
