Genesis Plus preview

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

I burnt the sbi and it works, very well. I must give my greatest thanks to BA for making such an awsome emulator.

The speed is awsome but like BA said there are lots of graphical gliches.

Hate is a very strong word Storminator16, I'm not defending people for using illegal software, however if you don't agree with someone there are more civil ways to handle it.
Lol, I love how the "let's correct you" police comes out over every little friggin' word I say.

despite the minor graphic errors in most games- those errors are far less than the random graphical discolorations in the illegal emu

Awesome work, dudes. This emu is fantastic!! I'm burning it right now. I can't wait to see some more progression.

And by the way guys, enough with the flame bait. You're just asking to get banned.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, Will. There is an SBI available from Sbiffy!com, and DCSteve posted a link to a scrambled bin. Don't decimate your bandwidth for something that's not even a Storm! production.

Especially considering Storm!'s bandwidth is likely going to get clobbered by the GBA emu. :D

Yeah - IMHO, Visual Troy Advance is just about ready for a v1 release. Maybe GPF feels differently, but I could definitely see, if he gets a few bugs fixed, him releasing it before too much longer.

Wow, you're pushy. You couldn't even wait for BlackAura to sign on to wait for your answer. Give it more than 51 minutes before making another post about it.

But, anyway, to answer your question: SegaCD and 32x emulation isn't going to happen without accurate and speedy Genesis emulation, and we're not there yet.

I just thought that I'd add this: If you think the illegal emu is perfect, you've never owned a Genesis. I still own one, and its not even close. Even the actual Smash pack, with its chosen games, does not impress me. BlackAura has made great strides with his work, and its only getting better, now with the help of other coders. Good work guys!

Well, I was asleep... I only woke up about an hour ago (around 10AM here, but then again I did go to bed at 3AM because I was up working on this)

32X emulation isn't going to happen. SegaCD emulation is very unlikely. Both for the same reason - they both require emulating another processor (a SH-2 @ 25MHz for the 32x, and another 68K @ 12MHz for the SegaCD) as well as additional hardware (like the PWG in the 32x, extra graphics hardware in both of them...)

Ouch... That bad, was it? I'm glad I didn't host a pre-compiled version anywhere.
