MESS v0.71 source available...

http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=36398

It even works - I've built a Vectrex, SMS and Spectrum emulator to name but 3 - all a bit slow, but that'll just take some work.

fackue posted news on his 1st_read.bin checker over at Consolevision. Here's what he said.
fackue wrote: I have released a new version of this program, this time it's adding support for DreamSNES, I've only tested this with v0.98, but older versions may work.

A new was released after 1.1, 1.1b, but wasn't a very big release. The fixes that I added in that version was mainly bug fixes -- you can now scan UPPER CASE bins, plus some minor fixes.

I've done a build of the intellivision MESS with an addition to the GUI to allow you to select games before launching the emulation - as well as remapped number pad keys and a couple of improvements to the input gathering.

Sorry about the delay with the newsposts, I've been too busy to check in over the past few days. Hopefully I didn't miss anything with my news catch up rush job. ;)

Up-ported MAME and MESS to 0.72 (just released)

Not quite ready for a source release - but I did rebuild the intellivision messbuild to MESS 0.72 (no noticeable improvement to be honest).

Dream Midi!

Well, I have a release sooner than I thought! Dream Midi will play midi, ogg, wav, mod, aiff,xm,IT. Its main job is to let you play midi files. SO midi's on your Dreamcast. This player plays the files in 22kh Stereo! It was programmed by me so this is not a port. I had coaching from a few other coders. In order: Bluecrab, BlackAura, and Phantom. These people provide tips and help when i needed it, so please enjoy this first version.
Full source code comes with this. open source all the way baby! Comes with a demo song of every format for you to get your grubby hands ON!
There's a 14 char limt to file names do not go over that (thats 11 for the song name, 3 for the extension). You must, for the midi part of the player, download a Midi INSTRUMENTS pack set from the LIBSDL homepage timidity.tar.gz (14 MB-bottom of the page) to play midis.
Url http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixe ... ity.tar.gz

http://www.imrtech.mirrorz.com for the player with my site keep refreshing till it works some times the site will not show untill you hit refresh more then 4 times.

OK make sure to read the readme its very importain source is there booya booya! etc.
Dreamcast forever!!!

I've been away again, so sorry for the slow newsposting, hopefully I didn't miss anything this time either. I should be able to post news on a more regular basis again from now on.

It's slow on the news side so here is a snippet from Pascal's homepage:
9 November 2003: I think it's about time for me to give some news :) and good news, Sms Plus v0.2 is coming out nicely, more options, better compatibility so be patient :)
Believe me, it is really even better 8-). But I let Pascal decice what he want's to say about it.

That EGM article was printed :-) I can scan it if someone wants to put it online. it is on page 50 of the Jan issue. it mentions DCEMU, and a few Home Brews (FOF, Smash DC, Bloop, Cool Herders) They also mention some Atari, and Coleceo Vision info.

No, unfortunately it's a misunderstanding. ;) I've replied in the thread.
