Quake based tennis

Post by Juan »

I have a dream.
#dcemulation @ foreverchat.net wrote:<Juan> you know what would be great in the quake engine
<Juan> a tennis game
<Juan> first person view
<Juan> wasd to control the player and the mouse as the racket
<lulzer> hmm... yeah, that sounds interesting
<Juan> should be doable too right
<lulzer> all tennis games are in third person
<Juan> a glorified pong
<Juan> you can move to one side and hit to the other
<Juan> and what would make it fuckin awesome is... aiming at the ball before hitting it
<Juan> the longer you have a "sight" on the ball, the more precise your shot is

Could you put your own designs on the ball? Like a woodchuck claiming a prize at a raffle?

That would be pretty awesome. Hell, you could even make a Ping Pong version of it!
