Panera 64, Commodore 64 emulation up to date

Post by Juan »

ron took DreamFrodo 0.94 by Tolga Abaci, which was built around KOS 0.91, tweaked some code and made it use a modern toolchain. The result is Panera 64 - in its first alpha version runs fullspeed without frameskip, supporting two pads and the Dreamcast keyboard.
There's even a virtual keyboard you can access by pressing X on your controller and also a main menu by pressing Start.

Keep in mind this is an alpha version. For instance, zip support should work but wasn't fully tested, so your input is welcome.
In this version, thanks go to Troy Davis, a.k.a. GPF, Indiket and Guaripolo.

Binaries available to registered Dreamcast.es users - source will be unveiled after a good code clean up.

Ron gave me some files to do a German translation of Panera. There will be a French release, too. :)

The site finally told me I was simply not registered as opposed to letting me sign in only to ever show me a blank page. Great. Too bad the ignoring of licenses continues over there.

Why not make a single multilingual version? As soon as sources are released I could easily add that ability if it was desired.

Here's a download for everyone who is NOT registered on Dreamcast.es: http://www.maturion.de/dreamcast/dateie ... a6401a.rar .

After a chat with Ron, he told me that he will release the source along with the final version, which will follow soon.
