Replacements? Presidents of the USA? Steely Dan? Alice in Chains? I have to buy this. I would take out a sub-prime loan for this. God, please me it to me now. Guitar Hero can go fuck itself.

Ugh... please, if I'm going to pay $60+, let me pick my own fucking songs. I like about 3 songs on this whole list. LIKE, not love.

Meh, I'm dissapointed. There's a handful of songs I want, and they could have released it as DLC and I would have been just as happy for cheaper. There's not enough new stuff to make me want to buy all the fucking new equipment again, especially since Guitar Hero will be releasing instruments but with better features.

I used to not mind being a fan of both franchises, but now it's getting to a point financially where everyone will have to take sides. I choose Guitar Hero.

It's nice to see that that Modest Mouse and Jimmy Eat World are finally getting the Rock Band treatment though.

Hasney wrote:Hm? You don't have to re-buy the equipment. Plus any DLC you bought and all the old RB1 tracks playable on RB2 as well.

I <3 the music of Rock Band better, but the first to release a drum set with a hi-hat pedal will get my drum business. Until then, my GH2 guitar works with everything :D
Edit: A company is making a "real" drum set to be used with Rock Band. For $300. Enjoy.

wtf are you talking about Kenichi? The game will be available as a standalone for the standard price, and will import most DLC from RB1. You do not need to re-buy equipment.

After playing RB for the first time (and being disappointed by GH3), I was blown away by all the things they thought of. I'm taking RB's side, and although the experiences will end up being largely the same, the songs are going to be what sways me. All the stuff pre-1990 on here I really don't care for. I'll probably end up picking up the disk at some point, like when it reaches $30 at GameStop.

Dream Theater is the epitome of talent. Every member is a God of their instruments. It's about time they were included in GH or RB.

I heavily favor the setlist of the first Rock Band to this one. The lack of Iron Maiden really disapoints me.

Personally I don't recognize most of the songs and thus don't care. Doesn't mean I don't know them but I won't jump at this unless chicks dig it.
