Whats the deal with Half Life
Why did someone just lock my thread about half life, I'm not looking for a burned copy a real one, I knew they canceled the project after it went gold, but I thought places like Lik sang carried them, is this not true?
Thanks

No. (Lik Sang was shut down by Sony anyway.)Rix Mix wrote:I thought places like Lik sang carried them, is this not true?

Re: Need to buy a copy of Half Life
The game was never released in stores so there's nothing to buy, unless you're looking for a prototype GD-ROM, but that's a different story.

I had seen a while back on Ebay that this guy had the produced original for sale, I'm mad I didn't buy it, I just thought I wold find it again easily. I found these pics:

Re: Need to buy a copy of Half Life
Strange, I thought in the end not a single pressed GD-ROM was produced (unless the auction was a fake). I know of a guy over at ASSEMblergames who has the original Dreamcast Half Life CD booklet & other goodies from an old Sierra lot, but no pressed GD-ROMs.

What I find odd is that the bottom screenshot looks like something from multiplayer, but it says that it's only one player. People have also reported that the multiplayer maps are still in there as well.

Re: Need to buy a copy of Half Life
yea the multiplayer maps are still in it. Anyways, you are better off getting it for PC, as it runs on even low end machines. I played though the Dreamcast version when it was first "released" and loved ever second of it. But the loading times are pretty tough to deal with. Though the dreamcast is the nicest looking version of the game to date.

It was, at the time, because it had the high definition pack -- but that was ported back to the PC version later.
