Heath Ledger - Dead at 28
Hollywood star Heath Ledger was found dead in New York in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.
Police spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan flat he was found in, believed to be his home.
The housekeeper, who went to let the actor know the masseuse was there, found him dead.
The Australian-born actor was an Oscar nominee for his role in Brokeback Mountain and has numerous other screen credits.
He met his wife, actress Michelle Williams, in 2005 while filming Brokeback Mountain.
Ledger and Williams lived in Brooklyn and had a daughter, Matilda, but they split up last year.
Ledger played the suicidal son of Billy Bob Thornton in Monster's Ball and had starring roles in A Knight's Tale and The Patriot.
He was to appear as the Joker this year in The Dark Knight, a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins.

My roommate said they finished all of the scenes with Ledger so they will not have to find anyone new.
It's thinking...

Yeah, all the joker scenes are done for this new film, but the future looks sort of bleak, I mean heath ledger as joker was perfect.
Bummer that he died, I liked his movies. Good actor. Too many sleeping pills. Sad.

its possible they may still need to do some reshoots for some scenes after main production is done , but mos t likley very little, but sucks that they will need to find a new joker for future films|darc| wrote:My roommate said they finished all of the scenes with Ledger so they will not have to find anyone new.

Re: :( Heath Ledger dead drug overdose, now a new joker is need
Granted there have only been two jokers, by two different actors. So they would find a new joker anyway.gamedudex2 wrote:its possible they may still need to do some reshoots for some scenes after main production is done , but mos t likley very little, but sucks that they will need to find a new joker for future films|darc| wrote:My roommate said they finished all of the scenes with Ledger so they will not have to find anyone new.

Or they could have the Joker killed in this film like in the '89 Batman.

while in the comic book store we see duffMan arguing with Jeff Albertson (other wise known to you mear mortals as "THE COMIC BOOK GUY")
Jeff" no sir, you are wrong. There have been three, that's right,I said it, three live action jokers, count them one, two, THREE. If you don't believe me i shall show you.
(comic book guy and DuffMan take a walk down to the comic book store's secret bat cave)
jeff "sir i present you.......drum roll please (Mr. Teeny the monkey plays drums)... Cesar Romero, frozen in liquid carbonite."

Re: :( Heath Ledger dead drug overdose, now a new joker is need
Dont you guys watch the news? It was an accidental overdose/ He mixed the wrong types of pills, he didnt guzzle them all down trying to kill himself like was originally believed. It was just a tragic mistake.

Re: :( Heath Ledger dead drug overdose, now a new joker is need
Grow up, what a completely ignorant and stupid thing to say.Code-Red wrote:It was done in his own stupidity. Screw him.
It turns out that the medication that he was taking was to help you sleep and it is a drug that has been repeatedly asked to be banned because of it's side effects. It causes sleep walking and other weird sleeping behavior.
There were no illegal drugs found with him, just some sleeping pills that had been prescribed to him because he had been having problems getting to sleep.
As this story developed I started feeling extremely sorry for him, anyone who has lived alone knows how uncomfortable it feels to be unwell during the night. If he had been having continuing problems you can't blame the guy for wanting to take something to help him sleep (especially in this age of taking medication for anything and everything).
Another thing that's annoying is that stupid bloody church that wants to picket at his funeral. At the radio station that I work at they interviewed one of the leaders of the church, here's the audio:
http://www.mytalk.com.au/aspx/pages/med ... dio&w=6207
That's the main draw back about a democracy, stupid organisations like that are allowed to exist.
RIP Heath Ledger.

Damn, that's hardcore. It's unfortunate that such a twisted, hateful organization hides behind a false cover of a church/Christianity to spew their ignorant venom.JellyWarrior wrote:Another thing that's annoying is that stupid bloody church that wants to picket at his funeral. Of particular interest was the interviewer's comment that the woman's (and Westboro's) antics make Christians/Kansans/Americans also vile, hateful morons by association.

Re: :( Heath Ledger dead drug overdose, now a new joker is need
I don't know if it makes anybody feel any better, but as far as I can tell the "Westboro" (based in Topeka, Kansas) "Baptist" (not recognized by any Baptist organization) "Church" (heh) is primarily composed of several generations of two particular families with way too much time and money on their hands; under 200 members total by all accounts I can find. The woman interviewed in the link is the daughter of the leader of the "church". I won't waste time actually listening to such idiocy, but I suppose their grievance is that he portrayed a man in a fictional same-sex relationship...
"You know, I have a great, wonderful, really original method of teaching antitrust law, and it kept 80 percent of the students awake. They learned things. It was fabulous." -- Justice Stephen Breyer
