"Computer" shows non-existent CD-ROM drive?

"Computer" shows non-existent CD-ROM drive?

Can someone please help me with this? (bear with me for all the Linux support posts)
I remember that after I added the line "all_generic_ide" to my menu.lst for GRUB, a non existent cd drive then appeared in "Computer". I am very unsure as to how I tell Ubuntu that this drive doesn't exist and to ignore/remove it. I believe it may also be behind my DVD playback issues... Please take a look at the attached image. The first CD-ROM 1 is the one that isn't REALLY there. :? I can't take all_generic_ide out of my menu.lst because it's necessary to boot.

Try messing with fstab (edit the text file called "fstab" at /etc)

Hell yes!! Thanks a ton, editing fstab fixed it quickly.
