Post by Juan »

The PC and Xbox Live demo have been out for a few days. Has anyone tried it?

That's the kind of implementation I was looking forward to.

:bump:

If you have any other platform where you can get it, do NOT get the PS3 version. It suffers from slowdown and given some specific instances regarding edited players, it'll just hang.

I've got the PS3 version. The only major slowdowns I get are during Replays/Cutscenes (really low framerate), PKs and Online (avoid!). Yes there have been drops in framerate during certain situations, much more if you're using the wide camera, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Make sure you install it before hand. Or just get the ps2 version. Or just avoid it because it really isn't that good :( (although i must admit, putting your own face on a player is a good laugh with friends)

Aaand with that said, Konami goes and release a PS3 patch :)

Fixes most of the major offline issues. It plays a lot smoother now, even on wide camera. And the PKs don't feel like slow motion anymore. Replays have also improved, but still horrible to watch at times. Online still has some issues, I had a couple of good connections and one bad connection where opposition players seem to be gliding around the pitch

Good stuff, but honestly the offline problems should have been fixed prior to release.
